Respect is Key
ICP is a New Dynamic in Peacebuilding
From the Aalborg, Denmark City of Peace team: โWe have been collaborating with Nakivale in Sangano, Uganda, together with our contact person, Norbert Byambo Kagosi Taylor since 2023. Nakivale is a refugee settlement with approximately 110,000 people in southwestern Uganda. The camp currently consists of five nationalities: Congolese, Burundians, Ugandans, Rwandans, and Sudanese.
โIn the settlement, there is, among other things, a school, a restaurant, a sewing workshop, markets, mobile money services, health clinics, clean water facilities, community centers, churches, mosques, youth and recreation programs, agricultural and livelihood support, as well as refugee-led organizations and cooperatives.
โWe are proud to support and collaborate with a local community in Uganda where an exciting and important exchange of culture, peace initiatives, and perspectives is taking place together with Nakivale’s many collaborators.โ
