DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDRAISING

Volunteer efforts are the essence of International Cities of Peace, just as RESPECT for local peacemakers is our grass roots approach to peacebuilding. Yet funds are important. The difference between simple fundraising and devloeping a viable City of Peace is in the terminology:

Development: A long-term strategy to develop two-way beneficial relationships with donors.

Fundraising: The short tem transactional part of development involved in asking and, hopefully, receiving money for programs and projects.
